Keene Senior Center Says “Thanks!”
The following letter from the Keene Senior Center was sent to PSNH Western/Central Division community relations manager Sue Blothenburg, in appreciation for PSNH’s response to a recent power-related incident:
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Keene Senior Center, I want to extend to PSNH our thanks for the timely and pleasant handling of a problem at the center on December 30. It was mid-afternoon on the Friday before New Year’s Day weekend when the Center called to report that the power line feed to the Thrift Shop next to the main building had pulled a portion of the eave out and threatened to fall on the parking lot.
The call was handled by a patient, polite, and pleasant PSNH personnel who said they would send someone to check the problem. The Center was hoping just to get the power disconnected until the following Tuesday. A gentleman from PSNH soon came to the Center, evaluated the problem, and informed the staff that he had someone on the way to repair the eave. And, in short order, that is what occurred. When the Center closed its doors for the weekend, the repair was complete. Because there are two apartments above the Center who use the parking lot, it was important to have a safe situation over the weekend.
Thanks to your organization for its quick and professional reaction.
Brian Mattson, President
Board of Directors
Keene Senior Center
