Tilton Employees Bring Cheer to Veterans Home
On December 10, Tilton Area Work Center employees Pam Paquette, Kim Smith, Josh Mazzei, Donna Keeley and Santa Claus (Bill Steff) visited residents at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton and brought hundreds of donations that were collected throughout PSNH. The annual outreach originated with working foreman Marc St. Cyr, a retired Air National Guard M/Sgt. Marc is an officer with VFW Post 1631 in Concord, and part of their mission is dedicated to serving our veterans.
Tilton employees (including Santa) mingled with residents at their tables, shared stories, and met several veterans who have PSNH connections, including one who worked as a guard at Merrimack Station.
Nearly 1,000 personal items were donated by employees, including items for special totes for the 20 female veterans in residence. CL&P safety administrator and president of NU Veterans, Warren Rogers, also contributed 14 dozen pairs of socks to the cause, while Penny Press in Loudon donated two cases of puzzle books with large print.
