Latest NewsNH Wind Power!Public Service of New Hampshire customers have begun to reap some of the benefits of the new wind turbines being installed on Lempster Mountain. The project developers are beginning to test the machines, as they are completed, and on Tuesday, October 21st, the first turbine began to generate energy. PSNH is purchasing the energy from the project and worked with the project developer, Iberdrola Renewables, and with the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, to connect the wind project to the regional power grid. The testing is expected to continue indefinitely, until all twelve of the project's wind turbines are operational. That is expected to occur by the end of the year. << Back to Latest News |
