Catalog “Lights Up” Energy Savings for Customers
MANCHESTER, N.H., April 11, 2012 – By now, most people know that using energy efficient products, like compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) can lower their monthly electric bills. To help customers save even more money, NHSaves—the utility-sponsored energy efficiency collaborative—has again published a catalog of discounted energy efficient lighting products both in print and online at http://catalog.nhsaves.com.
The 2012 catalog features savings on ENERGY STAR lighting products, including instant rebates on CFLs and on all energy efficient interior and exterior light fixtures, as well as table and desk lamps and several new LED lights. The catalog also offers rebates for commercial grade products that can help lower the energy costs for your business.
“Choosing energy efficient products can save New Hampshire families up to a third of their energy bill each month without sacrificing features, style or comfort,” said Jack Schelling, PSNH’s lighting expert. “In the ten years since the NHSaves energy efficiency program was implemented, customers of New Hampshire electric utilities have realized more than $1 billion in energy savings.”
Residential customers of PSNH, Unitil, NH Electrical Co-op, and National Grid may order up to 20 items per residential account per program year. Small businesses may also purchase energy efficiency products from this catalog. The electric utilities do not profit from the sale of any of the items sold in the NHSaves catalog. The goal of the NHSaves Energy Star Lighting program is to lower customer energy costs by upgrading energy performance.
The 2012 NHSaves catalog features several educational components and stories of how New Hampshire businesses have benefitted from participating in a variety of energy efficiency programs.
The online version of the catalog can be found at http://catalog.nhsaves.com and offers several interactive calculators and videos to help both residential and small businesses see the possibilities.
